Setting up a CL or CS on Campiamo

A certificated location (CL) or certificated site (CS) is the simplest kind of site to run on Campiamo, and the free Starter plan covers everything it needs. This guide takes you from a new account to your first online booking.

1. Create your account and property

Sign up at campiamo.com/onboarding. Enter your site's name, address and contact details as you'd want guests to see them. Set your check-in and check-out times; for most CLs that's a flexible arrival window and a midday departure.

2. Add one pitch type with five units

Under Pitch types, add a single pitch type, for example "Touring pitch", and set its quantity to 5 (or your licensed number). Set the nightly price. If you have both hardstanding and grass, or electric and non-electric, add two pitch types and split the five units between them. The Starter plan allows three pitch types, which is more than a certificated site needs.

If you charge per person or per unit, choose the matching pricing mode when you create the pitch type.

3. Decide how guests pay

Under Settings → Payments, connect your own Stripe account. Take online payments with Stripe walks through it. Then choose whether guests pay a deposit or the full amount when they book. A deposit is the single biggest change most owners notice: no-shows stop.

If you'd rather take payment on arrival, turn online payments off and Campiamo will still take the booking and send the confirmation.

4. State your terms

Under Settings, add your booking terms: members only if that applies, no arrivals after a certain time, dogs, awnings, whatever you tell guests today. They're shown on the booking page and in the confirmation email.

If your site is for club members, add a custom booking field asking for the membership number. Campiamo does not check it; you do, the same as now.

5. Put your booking link where members look

Every account has a booking page. Copy its address from Website in the dashboard and add it to:

• your club directory entry, where the clubs allow a website link
• your Facebook page, as the "Book now" button or a pinned post
• your own website, if you have one

Guests who click it see your availability and book without ringing you.

6. Block the dates you need

Going away, or keeping the field for a rally? Under the Calendar, block the pitches for those dates and they disappear from the booking page.

What guests receive

A confirmation with your address and terms, arrival details a few days before they come, and a thank-you afterwards that asks for a review. All of it is sent for you, from your site's name, and you can edit the wording under Settings → Emails.

Staying on the free plan

Nothing here needs a paid plan. The Growth plan adds a full hosted website with your own address, and higher plans add channel sync and a reception till, which a five-pitch site rarely needs. If a season is quiet, nothing changes: there is no minimum use and no contract.
