Connect Vrbo to Campiamo
Set up two-way iCal calendar sync between a Vrbo listing and Campiamo — ideal for holiday homes and glamping units that are listed as whole properties.
Last updated Invalid Date
Vrbo and Campiamo exchange calendars using iCal: each side publishes a calendar link and reads the other's on a schedule. A booking on Vrbo blocks the dates in Campiamo — and therefore on your website, your widget and your other channels — and your Campiamo bookings block the dates on Vrbo.

A good fit for holiday homes
Vrbo lists whole properties — a holiday home, a lodge, a cabin — which is exactly the shape calendar sync likes: one listing, one Campiamo pitch type, one unit. If the pitch type you link holds more than one unit, one booking will close the whole listing; the unit-count rules from the Booking.com guide apply here unchanged.
Step 1: Create the connection in Campiamo
- Go to Channels in the dashboard sidebar.
- Find Vrbo and choose Connect.
- Pick the pitch type this listing corresponds to.
Keep the dialog open — you'll paste a Vrbo link into it, and take a Campiamo link back to Vrbo.
Step 2: Copy your Vrbo calendar link
In your Vrbo owner dashboard:
- Open Calendar.
- Choose Import & export calendars.
- Choose Export calendar and copy the link — it ends in
.ics.
Step 3: Finish the connection in Campiamo
Paste the link into the Calendar link from Vrbo field and save. Campiamo validates it immediately and refuses anything that isn't a calendar feed, with an explanation.
Once saved, Campiamo shows your calendar link. Copy it.
Step 4: Import your Campiamo calendar into Vrbo
Back under Import & export calendars in Vrbo:
- Choose Import calendar.
- Paste your Campiamo link and name it "Campiamo".
- Save.
Both directions are now connected.
What syncs, and how quickly
Campiamo → Vrbo: every unavailable date for the pitch type — bookings, manual blocks, closed season, availability windows — published 365 days ahead. Vrbo decides how often it re-reads your calendar; expect periodic rather than instant.
Vrbo → Campiamo: read every 15 minutes. Busy dates become blocks marked "Booked on Vrbo" — not bookings, because the calendar file carries no guest details. The guest's name and payment live in your Vrbo dashboard. Cancellations release the blocks on the next sync; Sync now on the Channels page forces an immediate read.
When something is wrong
"That link did not return a calendar feed." — you've pasted a signed-in page rather than the export link. Go back to Import & export calendars and copy the .ics link.
Vrbo shows you blocked when you expect to be free — the export includes season and availability-window closures by design, so Vrbo can't sell a night you're shut.
Blocked dates with no booking to open — that's a Vrbo stay: dates held in Campiamo, guest details on Vrbo.
Every sync is logged on the Channels page, and the note on double bookings applies to Vrbo as to every iCal channel.
