List your campsite on the Campiamo directory

Campiamo Campsites is our public directory: a place where campers browse sites, check live availability, and book. Any UK campsite on Campiamo that takes payment online can be listed — on any plan, including the free one — and it costs nothing. No commission, no booking fees, for you or your guests.

Being listed is entirely optional and entirely under your control: one switch on your dashboard puts you on, the same switch takes you off, instantly.

What your listing shows

Your directory page is built from what's already in Campiamo, so there is nothing extra to maintain:

• Your photos, description and location
• Your facilities, with the same details you chose for your website and widgets — including anything you have marked as not available on site, shown in its own list so nobody arrives expecting it
• A map of roughly where you are (taken from your postcode), with a link to directions
• Your pitch types with prices
• Your approved guest reviews and star rating — only ones you've approved, same as everywhere else
• Live availability — visitors pick dates and see exactly what's free, at the real price

Change a price, add a photo, approve a review — the listing updates by itself, because it reads from the same place your dashboard writes to.

How campers find you

• By dates. A camper enters their dates and party and sees every campsite with space, with the real price of the stay rather than a "from" price. Your listing appears whenever you have a pitch type that fits, and is marked as having no space when you don't.
• By what they are bringing. Filters for tent, caravan, motorhome or campervan, and glamping, plus electric hook-up and dogs welcome. These come straight from your pitch types, so it is worth making sure each one says what it accepts.
• By county. Each county with a listed campsite has a page of its own, such as "Campsites in Dorset", which search engines index separately.
• By sharing. Campers can save listings to a shortlist and send it to the people they are going with.

How bookings work

A visitor who books from your listing goes through your normal booking flow: your prices, your extras, your custom fields, your payment settings. The booking lands in your dashboard like any other, and the guest pays you directly — Campiamo never sits in the middle of the money.

So you can see what the directory brings you, these bookings are marked with a Campiamo badge in your bookings list and on your calendar, the same way channel bookings show their source.

The directory shares your one calendar with your website, widgets and channels — it can never double-sell a night.

AI assistants

Listed campsites (and campsites with a Campiamo-hosted website) can also be found and booked by AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude, through the same data and the same booking flow. The guest still pays you directly and the booking lands in your dashboard marked AI assistant. See Bookings from AI assistants.

Getting listed

You need two things:

• A UK campsite. The directory lists UK sites for now, so the card only appears on your dashboard if your property's country is the United Kingdom.
• Online payments connected under Settings → Payments. A camper who finds you on the directory books and pays there and then, so a listing needs a way to take that payment.

Then:

1. On your Dashboard, find the Campsite Directory card.
2. Switch the toggle on. That's it — your listing is live at once, and the card links straight to your public page so you can see it.

Two things worth doing first, because they decide how your listing looks next to others:

• Photos — listings without photos get a plain placeholder. A good cover photo is the single biggest difference to how your card looks in the directory.
• Description and facilities — filled in under Settings, shown on your listing.

If the toggle is greyed out, online payments are not connected yet; the card says so and links to your payment settings. You do not need the Campiamo website switched on to be listed.

Removing your listing

Switch the toggle off. Your page comes off the directory immediately, and out of search-engine sitemaps with it. Nothing else changes — your website, widgets, bookings and reviews are untouched.

If you disconnect online payments, your listing is hidden until they are connected again.
