Add your booking widget to a Wix site

Wix keeps custom code in its own box on the page, which makes adding a Campiamo widget easy — but there's one Wix quirk about sizing you need to know, so read the Sizing the element section even if you skip the rest. New to widgets? The widgets overview explains what each one does.

Get your snippet

In your Campiamo dashboard, go to Widgets, pick the widget you want, and press Copy. The code looks like this:

Always copy it from your own Widgets page — your copy comes ready-made for your property.

Adding the widget in the Wix editor

1. Open your site in the Wix editor and go to the page where the widget should live.
2. Press Add Elements (the + on the left).
3. Choose Embed Code → Embed HTML. An empty box appears on the page.
4. Press Enter Code, paste the snippet, and press Apply (in Wix Studio the element is called HTML Embed — same thing).
5. Drag the box to where you want it, then publish the site.

Sizing the element

Here's the quirk: Wix puts embedded code inside a fixed-size frame. On most websites the widget pushes the page taller as it needs to; inside Wix it can't — whatever doesn't fit gets a scrollbar inside the box.

So after pasting:

• Drag the element wider and taller than you think you need. For the booking form, make it full-width and generously tall — the form grows as the guest fills it in (extras, card details), and a cramped frame means scrolling inside a scrolling page.
• Use Wix's mobile editor to check the phone layout separately, and resize the element there too.
• The availability search and reviews widgets are more compact, but give them breathing room all the same.

If you're planning a "Book now" page, the cleanest result is a page with little else on it and the embed element covering most of it.

If the widget doesn't appear

• Wix asks you to upgrade — on some Wix plans, custom code requires a premium plan with a connected domain. That's a Wix requirement rather than a Campiamo one.
• The box is blank in the editor — Wix often only runs embedded code on the published site. Publish, then check the live page.
• You see a scrollbar inside the widget — the element is too small; drag it larger and publish again.

Rather not touch the website yourself?

At the bottom of the Widgets page there's Send instructions to your web developer — tick the widgets you want and Campiamo emails them the snippets with instructions.

Once the widget is on the page you never need to update it. Prices, availability and reviews load live from Campiamo — change them in your dashboard and the website follows.
